Fibrek has approximately 500 employees and operates three pulp mills in North America: one in Saint-Félicien, Québec, and two in the U.S., in Fairmont, West Virginia and in Menominee, Michigan. Its annual combined production capacity is 760,000 air-dried metric tonnes.
Fibrek offers a unique combination of market pulp solutions: NBSK pulp made from virgin fibre, mainly black spruce, used for its high-quality and superior reinforcement properties; and RBK pulp made entirely from urban fibre (i.e. wastepaper), renowned for its quality.
Its pulp products are distributed to various sectors of the paper and tissue industry for the production of specialized products, fine uncoated paper, commercial and away-from-home tissue and coated paper.
